    Friends of the Industry Golf Tournament

    Annual Friends of the Industry Golf Tournament Friendly Hills Country Club Monday, June 15,2026 Once again, avid golfers, pros, amateurs, weekend hackers and duffers are invited to join us for a day of golf and fun. SMACNA members and Industry Fund contributors invite your fellow contractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, builders and anyone who is involved with the sheet metal industry. *SMACNA Southern California will make a $2,500 contribution to the Wounded Warriors Project from registration proceeds. This allows time to print signs, your company's name and all players' names in the play sheet. The entry fee includes golf, lunch and beverage service at stations on the course, cocktails, dinner and prizes. Players with complete foursomes (limit 1 foursome per company) and check enclosed will be entered on a first come, first serve basis. Single players or pairs will be placed ONLY if space is available on a foursome. Incomplete registration forms or payments pending will be placed on a waitlist.     SMACNA Exterior Components, Casings, Large Duct, and Type I Kitchen Grease Ducts

    SMACNA Standards Seminar #3 Join us for the third and final seminar in our comprehensive construction and fabrication webinar series. This concluding session brings together key concepts and practical applications related to exterior system components and casing construction. As well as large duct construction options that covering panel gauge, reinforcement requirements, and large duct support options. In addition, attendees will receive an in-depth review of Type I grease duct construction requirements using the SMACNA Grease Duct Construction Reinforcement Standards. Topics include material and reinforcement needs based on the maximum operating pressures, proper joint construction options for welded grease duct systems, and hood requirements. Whether you have attended the previous seminars or are joining us for this final session, this webinar provides valuable technical knowledge and practical insights that can help improve quality, compliance, and performance in the field. Presenters: Eli P. Howard, III SMACNA Executive Director Technical Services & Research As SMACNA’s Executive Director Technical & Research for over 25 years, Eli manages the entire collection of SMACNA and ANSI Standards for the HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for residential, commercial and industrial applications. He is a Voting Member of ASHRAE Technical Committees: -Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality (Standard 62.1) -HVAC&R Construction and Design Build Technologies (TC 7.2) -ASHRAE/SMACNA Method of Test for HVAC Duct Fittings (SPC 126) -Seismic Wind, Flood Restraint Design (TC 2.7) He has additional responsibilities as Co-Chair for the International Mechanical Code, NFPA 3, 90A & 90B, as well as direct liaison with USGBC, American Welding Society and the Uniform Mechanical Code. Prior to joining SMACNA he was a Project Manager for Midwest Mechanical Contractors on commercial/industrial projects. His experience also includes work with Marriott International as Design Engineer for the design/construction of full-service hotels in the United States, Hong Kong and Poland. Geoff Parks SMACNA Senior Project Manager Geoff Parks is a Senior Project Manager in the SMACNA Technical Resources department with over 30 years of experience in the sheet metal industry. His background includes completing a union sheet metal apprenticeship program and working in shop fabrication, CAD/BIM, estimating, project management, and senior leadership at a major East Coast sheet metal company.
