Whether you’re coordinating with field teams, reviewing shop drawings, or managing budgets, mastering these standards will help you reduce costly mistakes, improve communication, and confidently lead your projects. Presenters: Eli P. Howard, III SMACNA Executive Director Technical Services & Research As SMACNA’s Executive Director Technical & Research for over 25 years, Eli manages the entire collection of SMACNA and ANSI Standards for the HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for residential, commercial and industrial applications. He is a Voting Member of ASHRAE Technical Committees: -Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality (Standard 62.1) -HVAC&R Construction and Design Build Technologies (TC 7.2) -ASHRAE/SMACNA Method of Test for HVAC Duct Fittings (SPC 126) -Seismic Wind, Flood Restraint Design (TC 2.7) He has additional responsibilities as Co-Chair for the International Mechanical Code, NFPA 3, 90A & 90B, as well as direct liaison with USGBC, American Welding Society and the Uniform Mechanical Code. Prior to joining SMACNA he was a Project Manager for Midwest Mechanical Contractors on commercial/industrial projects. His experience also includes work with Marriott International as Design Engineer for the design/construction of full-service hotels in the United States, Hong Kong and Poland. Geoff Parks SMACNA Senior Project Manager Geoff Parks is a Senior Project Manager in the SMACNA Technical Resources department with over 30 years of experience in the sheet metal industry. His background includes completing a union sheet metal apprenticeship program and working in shop fabrication, CAD/BIM, estimating, project management, and senior leadership at a major East Coast sheet metal company. #SMACNA-SoCal #Education_Committee

    SMACNA Southern California's Pre-Party & Angel Game

    This year's Pre-Game Party will take place at The Rose Garden located inside Angel Stadium Doors open at 3:00 p.m. 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Buffet & Dessert 5:00 p.m. Prize & Cash Raffle 6:38 p.m. Angels vs. Mets Parking Information: Enter Angel Stadium at Gate #l - $20.00 parking fee per vehicle. They accept debit/credit cards and Apple/Android Pay. Buffet & Drink Information: With each paid Angels ticket you will receive one wristband. Each wristband is good for the 3 hour buffet and beer, wine, soft drinks and water. Wristbands are enclosed and are non-replaceable. Please don't forget to bring them with you as you will not be admitted into the Music Garden without it. SMAC-PAC Raffle Information: We will be holding a prize raffle to support SMAC-PAC. The prizes are fantastic this year; including gift cards, cash prizes, Angel Game tickets and other great prizes. The proceeds from our Annual Baseball Game Raffle support legislation beneficial to the construction industry. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
